PHOTO EXPLORATIONS

The following images are collections of work that i've curated to fit together, some of the photos are from daily life or travels, while others have been taken with in the context of a photography course.

STROBE PAINTING

The following photos were taken with a method of using a radio controlled remote strobe to highlight certain aspects of the subjects character & emotion. This strobe method was largely inspired by a series that I really enjoy called "cheap camera pro photographer" created by digitalRevTV.

STROBE EYE STUDY

The following photos are a rediscovery of a style of photo that started my initial interest in photography. About ten years ago I accidentally took a photo of my mothers eye ball close up while trying to use my cameras built in macro mode (the one with the little flower icon) and the flash accidentally fired. The image that that moment produced was not only visual stunning in its rich textures but also in the sheer detail that it showed which usually goes unnoticed in the human eye.

Sketches

I learned to sketch after I got to college at Carnegie Mellon. It's a tool I use for really fundamental communication in almost every project I work on. Here are some of my sketches from over the past couple years.

MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY - UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The following photos explore the curious nature of objects at a near microscopic scale, they are exclusively taken on a 60mm nikkor lens that is retrofitted onto a Canon t2i.
